Sancho Panza Belicosos

Sancho Panza is among the oldest Cuban brands still in operation today. The cigars fill the medium-body range and are often recommended as a great introduction to Cuban cigars for the non-Cuban smoker. Today’s brand retains an extremely simplistic look, showcasing a band nearly identical to the pre-revolution appearance of the 1960s and earlier.

The cigars are known for their larger sizes, with the intricately-crafted Belicosos vitola being the staple offering for the Sancho Panza brand.

Like other great Habano brands such as Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta, Sancho Panza takes it name from a masterpiece of world literature.
In Don Quixote, the famous 17th Century Spanish novel by Miguel de Cervantes, it was Sancho Panza who served the errant knight as his faithful squire. His name was first used for a Habano in 1848 and since then it has enjoyed a reputation for quality amongst discerning smokers.
