LFD's La Volcada follows in the footsteps of the company's popular La Nox and Andalusian Bull cigar releases. Like the award-winning Andalusian Bull, La Volcada is named for LFD owner Litto Gomez's past, drawing inspiration from his family home of Uruguay and the country’s musical claim to fame—the tango.
Uruguay is often credited with the invention of the tango dance and La Volcada (translating to “the dip”) is a step in the dance. The La Volcada “dip” is illustrated on the cigar’s band.
—Cigar Dojo
La Volcada is rolled in a singular Churchill vitola, featuing the company's signature Dominican-grown tobaccos, which are surrounded by an Ecuadorian Corojo binder and a San Andrés maduro wrapper.
