J.D. Howard, like all Crowned Heads brands, comes with a story. The cigar is built around the tale of Jesse James and his short-lived attempt to blend in with society and live a peaceful life in 1876. He went by the name of J.D. Howard and moved to Nashville, TN—which just so happens to be the home base of modern-day Crowned Heads (clever!).
The cigars carry a fittingly western look/feel and even boast a smokey, "Southern charred" character and profile. This cigar marked the third Crowned Heads regular-production release with Ernesto-Perez Carrillo and his Tabacalera La Alianza factory out of the Dominican Republic.
