Kentucky Fire Cured Swamp Thang

Kentucky Fire Cured Swamp Thang (and Swamp Rat) is the followup blend to Drew Estate’s Kentucky Fire Cured cigar introduced in 2013. At the time, Drew Estate was one of a handful of cigar brands to feature fire-cured tobaccos in a blend. Fire curing is one of the oldest curing processes for tobacco, in where leaves are hung in barns and exposed to the smoke of smoldering woods of various types below. This imparts a barbecue/smokey characteristic to the tobacco and is something more commonly found in pipe tobaccos.

Branded under Drew Estate’s MUWAT subdivision, Kentucky Fire Cured Swamp Thang offers the unique smokiness of fire-cured tobaccos, balanced by the sweet and mellow flavors of a candela wrapper leaf. This bizarre combination has a taming effect of the fire-cured tobaccos, making for a balanced profile from an unusual juxtaposition of tobaccos.
