While the bulk of CAO's offerings are made in Nicaragua (at the STG Estelí factory), the CAO Session is being rolled in the Dominican Republic at the General Cigar Dominicana factory. The cigar's blend has been inspired by brand-runner, Rick Rodriguez's early experience in cigar blending, where he worked with General Cigar in Santiago, DR. The concept revolves around the easy-going nature of the cigar's blend, where enthusiasts are encouraged to spark up a smoking session—be it in the garage, while fishing, or mowing the lawn. With CAO Session, there's no pressure, and best of all, there's no maintenance required.
I wasn’t going for a full-bodied cigar. I wanted Session to be a medium-bodied smoke with a great taste and a lot of complexity and I feel like I’ve hit the mark with Session. I’m excited to hear what the CAO fans will think of it.
—Rick Rodriguez, CAO Master Blender
